What happens if I freeze pudding?
When pudding freezes, the consistency becomes like that of a rich and creamy ice cream. This holds true for store bought mixes, homemade puddings, rice pudding and even tapioca pudding.
How do you store pudding in the freezer?
Put your pudding in an airtight container or freezer bag. Don’t mix up the different types of pudding and you can separate into individual serving sizes per container. What is this? Pudding will last for months in the freezer.
Can you refreeze chocolate pudding?
It should be stored in the fridge and eaten within 3 days of making. The pudding would be safe to eat if frozen and defrosted but we do not recommend freezing as the texture of the pudding can change once it has thawed. Unfortunately home made mixtures can separate slightly or end up with a grainy texture.
Should pudding be kept in freezer?
Pudding is best stored in the fridge if you are likely to finish it within 2-3 days. If you can’t meet that deadline and don’t want to waste any food, then freezing is perfectly okay in most cases.
