Cosplay pictures from- Mcm Comic Con London
May’s MCM comic con for me was all about the cosplay and the Fringe stage outside. The stalls are all a bit samey this time round, I’m not sure whether it’s because I didn’t fancy buying anything or if it was because not many good anime shows were released so the merch was sort of the same stuff as last year.
I did buy a cool little Japanese 10 step puzzle box though. It was £25 but that’s probably because you’re paying for the hand craftsmanship. I’ve put a few gummy sweeties in it for anyone who is able to open it and so far only one of my colleagues has been able to do it without any help! I rather enjoy watching their confused faces turn surprised when you reveal how to unlock the box
For me the highlight came at the end of the day when everyone got kicked out. Many people went to the stage outside as there was an awesome little party going down.
The DJ knew his crowd and played some brilliant remixes of gaming and film themes, among other things (I later discovered this genre of music is referred to as ‘nightcore’) such as Tetris, Legend of Zelda (which you know I love since I went to a Zelda concert!), Let it go and Pika girl. Everyone was up and dancing-including the cosplayers! It was so much fun watching serious Akatsuki and Madara’s jumping up and down to the happy music! The guy in the Pikachu onesie was crowd surfing at one point during Pika girl.
Any way here are some photos of the cosplayers!
I’ve tried to label best I can, but if this is you and I got it wrong, *I’m sorry* please let me know…
