Bar for geeks in London- Meltdown review

I mentioned in my Hearthstone meet up post that the venue, Meltdown, deserves a blog post of its own, well here it is as promised!

So after the Comics Unmasked exhibition at the British library just down the road, we decided to head to Meltdown for some drinking fun to have a thoroughly geeky day out.

On arrival, we ordered a couple of Coronas and a Desperados and settled in. That’s when we noticed a couple playing Smash Brothers Melee *inner squeal*

After a couple of matches they moved off and we moved in and snagged the controllers for ourselves and that’s when we meet a lovely guy called Ricard (pronounced Rickard, like Rickard Stark) who joined in with us.

And we continued playing Smash Bros for a fair few hours and I got beaten up by a Pickachu player named Tom.

This was all while drinking. Here’s my deliciously sweet Nunu cocktail:

And our Shoryukens flaming shots:

We even had a couple of Blue Flame Hellion shots which was fun :)

You can tell how excited everyone was:

Fantastic bar with Star wars deco, Hearthstone and League of legends streaming to make every geek feel at home:

If the excellent gaming inspired cocktails weren’t enough to keep me coming back:

Then I’d be back for the fantastic company and the opportunity to squeeze in some drunken Hearthstone!

Also I hear Wednesdays are Smash Brothers tournament night and just last week Armada was there! For LOL players, you want to head down on a Friday night for some team tournaments.
